What are your billing practices and how should I budget for this?

In order to avoid unnecessary surprises, we work hard to establish your budgetary expectations within the first few meetings. We will help you determine a budget based on the scope of your project. There are a number of costs involved in any given design project, but we operate as diligent stewards of your investment. Our design fees are billed hourly, typically invoiced monthly. For larger projects, we will establish a retainer to confirm your commitment and to reserve time in our schedule for your work. In addition to design fees, we will plan for the purchase of goods which may include furniture, drapery, art, rugs, lighting and accessories. All goods will be invoiced separately. Custom ordered or manufactured goods will only be purchased with your signed approval of a contract and a deposit will be required.
